From the wall of vinyl, Sarah Vaughan’s Duke Ellington Song Book One on Pablo:

Great nighttime album—I deeply enjoy listening to Sarah Vaughan after dark.  Low lights, slowing down for the night, the music sets the mood for an evening which makes you feel in the company of talent and accomplishment, achieved through hard lessons and deep sorrow.  A bad day at the office is easily washed out through the calling heartbreak and understanding of her voice.  I’ll pick up one of her albums any day, especially on vinyl, and especially at under $5.  Nice evening tunes (Lush Life, Sophisticated Lady, Day Dream) from Duke.
