Weekend Dig in St. Paul

Had a respectful run in St. Paul Goodwills this weekend—aside from meeting a great veteran of digging while sorting through crates of Christmas and commons, I walked out with a few great deals at $1 apiece.

List includes—

Johnny Thunder—Loop De Loop (Diamond, 5001)
Tommy Edwards—Tommy Edwards (Lion, L70120)
Herb Alpert & Hugh Masekela—Main Event, Live (A&M 4727)
Annita Ray—Slow Glow (Ava A-16)
Julius La Rosa—The Port of Love (Guest Star 1404)
Mark Murphy—That’s How I Love the Blues (Riverside 9441)
Noel Pointer—Feel It (United Artists LA973)
Morgana King—With A Taste of Honey (Mainstream 56015)
Joe Williams—Sentimental & Melancholy (Roulette 52066)

and four albums from the “Rural Rhythm” label, nos 123, 110, 239, and 163 (these appear to be promo copies still in plastic).

It was an amazingly clean lot—for those I’ve listened to (the Johnny Thunder and now, Tommy Edwards) they’re nearly unplayed—and for Goodwill records you really can’t beat it.
